Crate Track Privacy Policy

Crate Track Salesman is the mobile companion app for Crate Track inventory management software by KC Softwares / DigiTech. The app connects to your organisation's Crate Track server.

1. Information we collect

• Account credentials: username and password for authentication with your Crate Track server
• Transaction data: stock in/out records, customer references, and item details you enter
• Server URL: address of your Crate Track server, stored on device
• Location (optional): GPS coordinates when salesman movement tracking is enabled by your administrator
• Camera: used only when you initiate barcode scanning; no photos stored without your action
• Offline queue: pending transactions cached locally until sync

2. How we use information

• Authenticate and sync with your Crate Track server
• Record stock movements and generate transfer slips
• Display your assigned stock and transaction history
• Report GPS checkpoints when movement tracking is enabled

3. Where data is stored

Primary data is stored on your organisation's Crate Track server. The app caches data locally for offline use. Your administrator controls retention and backups.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared with your company's Crate Track system and authorised administrators only.

5. Permissions

• Internet — server communication
• Camera — barcode scanning (user-initiated)
• Location — optional salesman tracking (if enabled)
• Storage — offline cache and PDF slip viewing

6. Your rights

Contact your Crate Track administrator to update account access or request data deletion. Uninstall the app to remove local cache.

7. Children's privacy

The app is intended for business use by sales staff and is not directed at children under 13.
